Create & Grow a Sustainable Business by Integrating Solar into Customers' Lives.
Each day we will strive to:
More on our philosophy:
Very simply, Kentucky Solar Living wants to help make solar a reality for your life. This means we need to understand your goals and create a business model that integrates our services into your goals. Therefore, we listen to your needs first. Then we offer an integrative solar concept to match your vision with our services. We help you look at your home or business from a larger perspective - or as we like to envision it, an energy pie. As we start to understand the slices of the pie (water heating, space heating, etc), we can create a solar package to decrease or eliminate certain slices of the energy pie. For example, the diagram below shows that water heating accounts for 17% of a home's energy use. (various studies give a range of 14 - 28%). A solar water heater will typically eliminate 75% of the water heating costs, significantly decreasing that slice of the energy pie and saving you a significant amount of money as energy prices continue to rise.

This approach also creates a modular concept for solar applications. In this concept we create an opportunity to proceed in a step-wise fashion, combining different solar options to meet your solar goals.

We strive to do our part for the community and the environment. We will donate $50 in your name for each water heater we install. Donations will support the efforts of Kentucky Natural Lands Trust. KNLT preserves some of our most pristine and diverse land in Kentucky. If you get a chance, take the opportunity to spend a weekend hiking some of the trails and taking in the scenery.
Finally, we enjoy the opportunity to spread the word about solar in our community. We offer speaking and informational sessions to interested groups in our area. We are excited to let people know that solar works well in our region and is a real, practical solution. Give us a call if you have a group that would like to learn more about solar possibilities in your area. See a version of our solar presentation below.

Thomas Edison told Henry Ford in 1931: "I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."
